Casterton Business and Enterprise College in Lincolnshire is a vibrant, mixed comprehensive school with around 800 students aged between 11 and 16. The College has developed strong links with local businesses and has a state-of-the-art Enterprise Centre, fully equipped with ICT and multimedia technology, where Mathematics, IT and Business are taught.
The College uses the BioStore biometric Identity Management System with the cashless catering system (provided by BioStore Platinum Partner, Cunninghams) and the library management system (provided by BioStore Platinum Partner, Softlink). By using BioStore, students and staff need only be enrolled once in order to access both systems.
Time spent on management by staff is reduced dramatically because BioStore provides an automatic link between the school Management Information System and the applications. BioStore’s automatic data transfer between applications also minimises the risk of errors creeping into data.
